- Commodity name: Chair cylinder with removal tool chair cylinder replacement kit
• STEP 1
• Place the chair on its side on the floor or on a work area.
• Always use caution when handling tools. Make sure all screws are fully tightened before using chair
• STEP 2
• REMOVE CHAIR BASE
• USE CAUTION TO AVOID INJURY
• Hit the bottom of the gas lift with a rubber mallet or hammer with wood block placed between to release it from the chair base.
• Apply lubricant if needed.
• If having difficulties, turn the entire chair upside down and hit bottom of gas lift.
• STEP 3
• ATTACH SHAFT COLLARS TO TOP OF GAS LIFT
• Separate the shaft collars (A) and attach them to top of gas lift.
• Tighten shaft collars (A) using Allen wrench. Do not over tighten but still able to slide.
• Tighten the bottom shaft collar (A).
• Make sure that threaded holes on collars (A) are aligned.
• STEP 4
• THREAD SCREWS (C) INTO EACH SHAFT COLLAR (A)
• Thread screw (C) into each hole on bottom of lower shaft collar (A).
• Use Allen wrench (B) to tighten. Make sure entire screw (C) goes against the top of the shaft collar (A).
• STEP 5
• REMOVE OLD GAS LIFT
• Screws (C) will raise the upper shaft collar (A) and pull gas lift away from bottom of chair.
• Once separated, remove old gas lift.
• STEP 6
• INSTALL NEW GAS LIFT
• Remove plastic cap from gas lift.
• Place chair base (shell) on floor.
• Put the gas lift into hole on the chair base.
• Align hole on the bottom of chair seat with bottom of the gas lift cylinder.
• Sit on chair and use the lever to make test everything is working properly.
